She's going to be O.K.

When we last left Detective Benson she had a gun to her head as was lead into her bedroom by an
unstoppable rapist/torturer.

Law & Order SVU: Surrender Benson/Imprisoned Lives

A four day journey with one of the most evil men this show has featured left Benson exhausted and mentally, emotionally, and physically abused. Fortunately she was not sexually assaulted. Her ordeal left her full of rage that she took out on her captor. Oddly though she lied about the details of her escape which in real life would not be necessary as since she was tortured that taking revenge would be okay even in the courts.

The entire season will be dealing with her torture but Det. Benson seems to be coping well.

The second hour was a mash-up of the different kidnapped and rescued stories we have been hearing about the last few years. Far from subtle it was a typical post-9/11 story line. For those who remember pre-9/11 storylines typically had the criminals winning.

SVU's Season 14 Finale

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Her Negotiation

The season finale has a serial rapist and torturer that is clever enough never to get convicted going after Olivia. This was not revealed until the final seconds of the show and leads to possible big change when the 15th season premieres on Wednesday, September 25.

They came close to assaulting Olivia in the past but never have because that is unrealistic. The show has been heavy on every woman is a potential victim except for Olivia and I hope they have not crossed that line. Detective Olivia Benson is the strongest person on the show and to have some random criminal of the week assault her would put me off the show permanently.

Not every woman is a victim and the will cross a line by making Olivia one. Knowing this criminals pattern I hope she anticipated he was going to hunt her and this is a trap. If not I hope she fights him even if it means she dies because to become a victim seems worse.

I am late in watching the season finale so it would be fresh in my mind as the new season premieres. That faxt that I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see how this storyline plays out proves this show still has great writing. I hope they do not disappoint.

Mental Problems

The Mentalist: Pilot
So some guy was watching Monk and Psych and decided what if I combine the two shows and pitch to CBS. Well it happened and they made so many inside jokes it was silly.
They subtly mentioned Eureka, Psych, and a few other detective shows.
Law & Order Special Victims UnitImage by MacRonin47 via Flickr
If I have a free hour I may watch it but I hold no hope for it's success.

Law & Order: SVU : Trials

Simply great, the best show this season.

Clay Aiken, duh.

Guess Who I Saw?

I was coming home yesterday from a day of doing the whole tourist thing. After dropping her off at her train I took a train I never take and one stop later guess who walks in.

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick.

Yeah that's right Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick walked on the train together.

Naysayer: Well where's the proof.
Man: Look I spent the day taking pics and had the camera in my pocket ready to go.
Naysayer: And you chickened out.
Man: No I like them both and thought it would be rude.
Naysayer: Sure, how did they look?
Man: Kevin was wearing a green bubble jacket, an orange wool cap and glasses. He looked very wrinkled and old. He looked thin and small.
Naysayer: And Kyra?
Man: She looked so much better in a wool coat no cap and she opened her coat and started adjusting her tight top and scarf.
Naysayer: Ooooh, did you see nip?
Man: Don't be a perv naysayer, she was very well dressed and nothing popped out.
Naysayer: How did they act?
Man: They weren't smiling and holding hands but they just seemed liking a typical NY couple taking the train. It was the same way I was all day hanging out with her. Close but trying to get through the windy wet day.
Naysayer: Who is this her you talked about?
Man: Shut up and move on.
Naysayer: So you said you started thos blog to get celeb pictures and at your first chance you chickened out.
Man: Well they only stayed for one stop and walked out. I decided that I would only take pics of celebs I like on their sets, you know when they film on the streets. No one was harassing them and they just seemed so comfortable taking the subway I don't want to the dick who ruined it.
Naysayer: Whatever now back to your shows and make it short.

Fear Factor: Pyscho Fear Factor 1
Couples and former couples do stunts at the Bates Motel. What I found interesting is that the majority of women were carryingthe guys. I never seen a group of such wimpy guys.

Scrubs: My Intern's Eye/My Right Of Passage
The first episode was much funnier then the second. Everyone's is back and doing well except for Dr. Reid who was let go of her new hospital.

Law & Order: SVU: Infected
Malcolm David Kelley of Lost plays a kid who saw his mom getting shot by a rapist and then he kills the guy. A very strong episode and the court room stuff was great with Judith Light as a defendant and judge. This show does get better every episode.

Naysayer: What about Arrested Development?

Man: I saw it and taped it but it was so layered and funny I need to watch it again to give it it's on post.

Naysayer: You heard Lindsay Lohan admitted being a bulimic and drug user during her asthma attack.
Man: Hey I don't talk about that here. No gossip please.

Alternate Tuesday Shows

TV NEWS STORIES
Once again starting out with more of my favorite childhood actors dying, Jack Colvin, best known as tabloid reporter Jack McGee in the The Incredible Hulk, has died. Colvin, 71, died Thursday in North Hollywood of complications following a stroke. He did so many TV shows in the 70's it was impossible to miss him. He never was over the top and in the past decade did not work much, another primetime veteran gone from the time when we only had 7 channels with 3 networks.

Valerie Bertinelli and her husband, Eddie Van Halen, are getting a divorce after 24 years of marriage, Bertinelli's publicist confirmed that they have been separated for 4 years. I feel bad for her kids but hey that means I still have a shot.

Back to tonights shows.

Fear Factor: Heist Fear Factor

Well besides Road Rules/ Real World Challenges the only other reality show I watch on a regular basis is this one. Joe Rogan is back as host. This season will focus less on the gross eating stuff and more on the danger.
Today four couples did stunts to win keys to unlock a million dollars in fake gold at the bottom of a pool. The brother and sister steroid freaks lost to a "friend" couple. The winners took home $275,000 and some crappy trip.
It was funny and I like the stunts at one point a contestant ripped off his toenail in an accident.
At the end they also went to a fans home and had him and his mom get bit by snakes for 5 grand.

My Name Is Earl: White Lie Christmas
After Earl ruined every Christmas for his ex-wife he decides to make it up with some bikes and a car. When arriving at her double-wide her parents played by the once great Brett Butler and
Some guy who always place a redneck. Joy has been lying to protect Darnell, thinking her parents are racists, but the father was lying about having other kids most of them black, while the mother was lying about being a paralized-dialysis patient to cover up her gambling.
Funny episode with a sweet ending.

Law & Order: SVU : Alien
A little boy gets stabbed and a little girl is the main suspect, she confesses but the episode was more about how a community of religious people got together to deny a lesbian mother from claiming her child since the biological mother died. The lesbian mom falsely accused of being a child molester was played by Amy Pietz from Caroline In The City.

Tuesday Shows

Bones: The Girl in the Fridge
Bones is doing her old teacher and he's a jerk. The episode was just okay.
The cool part was David Boreanaz and Leonard Roberts, who playedForrest Gates on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Roberts also appeared on Tru Calling with Eliza Dushku and Smallville with James Marsters.

House: The Mistake
Dr. Chase is going up for a peer review after admitting to a mistake. The episode goes in flashbacks as we see one patient with a failing liver being treated by Dr. Chase and then die. The sick mother, played by former Kate & Allie star Allison Smith, needs a new liver, gets a cancerous one from her brother and dies. Dr. Chase feels bad for not paying close attention to her and lies about being drunk on duty.
The results are a one week suspension for him but Dr. House gets one month of supervision from a doctor. The doctor turns out to be one of his underlings Dr. Foreman the doc most like House.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Storm
Good episode but very complicated just to get to the point. Let me highlight it.
Two girls get run over,
Hurricane Katrina,
a kidnapping,
some light touching,
a vial of anthrax,
a cold scientist,
one nosy reporter,
lying cops,
even bigger lying feds,
a reunion,
Mariska Harigtay being all tough and rule breaking,
and a nosy reporter in prison.

Basically a vial of anthrax is stolen and the government erases any evidence that this incident happens at the expense of some abused girls from New Orleans. Then one cop leaks the story to a reporter who then goes to jail rather then reveal his source.

Quote of the Week: "Who do we call when we get raped?"- said by Ice-T when returning to the precient and seeing the feds took all there evidence and research into the kidnapped girls.

Post Turkey Catch-Up

I just learned Pat Morita of Happy Days and Karate Kid fame died at the age of 73 of natural causes. He was so cool and funny.
Morita was one of first Asian actors I can recall playing in comedies and dramas with out being a stereotype he did about 100 movies and just about the same amount ofTV appearances . I liked his character on The Hughleys he played a racist neighbor.

On to the shows I’ve caught up with this past Thanksgiving.

Bones: A Man on Death Row
Bones applies for a concealed gun permit and gets denied. The agents tries to save a man on death row but only find out he’s really, really guilty and he now will stay alive just to answer for more crimes.

My Name Is Earl: Cost My Dad the Election
Nice use of a bunch of amputees. Earl’s dad once ran for mayor and Earl ruined it. Now Earl is trying to make it up but ends up costing him the election again. But the dad, Beau Bridges, sees he is trying to do good and bails him out again.

House: Hunting
House stole his ex-wife’s therapy records with a cool file cabinet opening trick and finds out she’s sexless. He tries to use this to prove she still loves him and starts moving close to her. She finds out and tells him to go to hell because now she really hates him.
At the hospital an irresponsible gay guy has AIDS and coughs up some blood on the young female doctor’s eyes and mouth. She freaks out takes some drugs and sleeps with her Australian colleague.
There was also a sick rat that becomes House’s new pet. Odd but great episode.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Rockabye
Just like a recent case in the headlines a pair of religious home schooled kids run away and does the wrong thing. These two kids try to legally get an abortion but with so many religious freaks around the country the get blocked and manipulated at every turn. Eventually the girl decides to knock the baby out of her body with her boyfriends help.
Another all-star cast with great performances.

NightLine
The last one with Ted Koppel featured a piece about the Tuesday with Morrie guys. But the best part was at the end when Koppel tells the audience to support the new Nightline people because if they don’t then ABC “will just replace this show with some comedy” that was such a great dis to Jimmy Kimmel, rightfully so but still funny.

I only saw parts of the parade on TV, I got live balloon picture the day before so no big deal. Saw enough to see the accident. And both football games sucked. I will not shop on black Friday.

Tuesday Shows

Bones: Man In The Wall
During a ridiculous fight in a club Bones discovers a mummified DJ and must find out what happened. During one creepy stomach turning scene Bones strips the flesh off of the dead mans hand and wears it as a glove to get fingerprints. To counter this scene we later see a plaster cast made by the boy at age 5 to give him more of a soul.
Of course the killer is found at the end but we see how insensitive Bones really is.

House: Spin
After last week’s great but depressing episode we get more cheery in this one. Sela Ward is back and House gets all jealous and snippy with her recovering husband. I fell asleep through a part of it but woke up in time to see the team cure their patient.
Oh for those Tom Lenk fans he was in this episode as a guy who got chronic diarrhea from chewing too much sugarless gum.

Law & Order: SVU: Starved
Dean Cain played a manipulative rapist with a wussy wife. This episode was filled with stars from dead TV shows, some of them are Who’s The Boss, Six Feet Under, Lois & Clark, and Grace Under Fire. Nice to see actors don’t die they just go to Law & Order. Back to the story line at the end the wussy wife dies and the rapist is going to go free and get millions from her insurance.

My Name Is Earl: Joy’s Wedding
Funny episode. Joy is getting married, white trash style, and Earl shows up drunk and ruins it. He tries to make it up to her and ends up sleeping with her. Now he has to make it up to Darnell. After a quick pep talk Earl shows Darnell that Joy is a skank but one that is in love with Darnell. The wedding was cool but the music was great. Just Bust A Move.

I will watch Gilmore Girls and Supernatural later.

TV is Getting Complicated.

Trading Spouses:Meet Your New Mommy : Perrin/Fisher Pt.:1 of 2
While I’ve stopped watching all the reality shows this one caught my eye, rather my ear. A psycho I set my TiVo to record and saw it was a two-parter.
The show is about putting spouses in households completely different then their own and hopefully sparks will fly. In this case a neo-hippie trades lives with a psychotic religious tyrant.
The best parts with the hippie are that she has a new husband and they are not communicating well but her family is nice. The church zealot on the other hand has a devoted husband but one daughter who sinned and has a five-year old at the age of 20, while the other daughter is like dad a virtual slave.
While the hippie meets the church group they do the un-Christian thing and treat her like the devil, I mean come on if you see a sinner help them or convert them don’t shun them.
While the nut other mom talks to god and starts to have a mental breakdown because she saw a Christian-psychic.
Next week they reveal what the other mothers have allotted the $1000 prize and crazy mom is going to tear up the check and her sanity with it.

Smallville: Exposed
I’ve lost partial interest in this show when Clark refused to tell Lana the truth after giving some flimsy excuse. In this episode the gang goes to a strip club to get a pervert killer and no freak of week.
The cool part was Tom Wopat as an old friend turned Senator of Jonathan Kent, strangely no mention of Mrs. Kent…hmmmm.

Joey: Joey and the Poker
A bit funnier than usually thanks to plenty of guest stars including crowd favorite Alan Thicke.

ER: Dream House
They fired a nurse working their since day one yet spent more time on a damn monkey. Ridiculous.

Law & Order:SVU : Raw (Parental Advisory)
This was a great episode involving Nazis, a crowd of shot children, a pervert and evil adopted parents who are not racist. This was a complicated episode but great and everything comes together. Oh also there was a court room shooting, an Oscar winner and lots of twist.
Thrilling.

Quick Updates/Mid-Term Madness

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
The last couple of episodes, one was titled 911, had the two main officers in Emmy getting roles. One had Mariska Hargitay leaving her date behind to help a kidnapped girl get rescued somewhere in the Tri-State area only to lose her phone connection and finding her buried alive.
The other has Christopher Meloni once again losing control and breaking the rules to help a friend, we also learn why he is so on edge when he visits a therapist.
This show gets better and better without all that undeserved hype ER is getting, frankly ER is getting worse.

Freddie: Rich Man, Poor Girl
Wow, this show is annoying, Freddie Prinze Jr. star as a chef whose female-family lives with him in an upscale apartment. He is single and dating with his best friend played by Brian Austin Green.
The worst part is the grandmother who refuses to speak English, while I've met people like her I still hate it.
This is not the pilot episode they changed things up and the pilot will be the second episode, thats never a good sign.

Lost: Everbody Hates Hugo
Finally the day after opening the hatch. It was a great episode dealing with Hurley's insecurities. We also see the other survivors of Flight 815 and we meet Rose's husband. There was a cute little dream sequence having Jin speaking English and a milk container that has a picture of Walt on the side under the missing sign.

Ghost Whisperer: Mended Hearts
The show is getting slightly better, today we saw a ghost creepily laughing at her, as if a storyline is building.
The shows main problem is that they don't have continuity, the Asian family from episode 2 is not even mentioned since that one.

Wonderfalls: Totem Mole
They try to explain why Jaye talks to the animals but she never finds out truly. She also gets to talk to a Native-American-Canadian Indian-Ghost/Spirit and we they show us more supernatural stuff.
They will have a marathon on LOGO starting Saturday at 9AM before the series finale next week. Wonderfalls Windfall

Wonder Women

If I don’t discuss a show I watch it’s because it wasn’t good enough to post about.

Bones and House will return on November 1 because of MLB playoff.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit : Design
Part one of two episode crossover. It started with an alleged rape victim wanting to commit suicide and take her unborn baby with her. Her story unravels and Detective Olivia Benson is getting pissed. We learn that this victim is really a date raper of men. She uses an electrical probe to siphon sperm from each guy including Mark Mcgrath.
Her accomplice is her evil mom played by Lynda Carter. Daugther fakes her death then when caught she trades her baby for her freedom, but the story is not over it concludes tomorrow in Law & Order.

Commander in Chief: Pilot
Better than I thought Madam President is no wuss and has a great military knowledge.

Tuesdays Shows

Bones was O.K.

Gilmore Girls was better and Alexis Bleidel finally spoke her native spanish, she's Mexican.

Supernatural was fine, but the dead girls tombstone said Jan. 24 1984-Nov. 02 2005, hmmm.... she died in the future.

Law & Order: SVU :Demons
Meloni's character gets even creepier then last year, also Robert Patrick was great.

House was the best.
In "Autopsy" a 9 year-old dying girl gives everyone a little hope. Just like the Mad TV sketch the find something wrong with her that they fixed but something else is wrong so they must kill her to save.
The fact that the Australian guy kisses the little girl was enough to hold my scattered mind.
Also they gave the girl some tickets to the American Museum of Natural History which I also have was kinda cool.

My Name Is Earl: Pilot
A loser must change his life to get good things in life. Not bad Jaime Pressly was better then expected she stole the show and I like Earl's laid back attitude.
