Missing in Action

So this season has been just fine nothing special but it's not complete. Beside missing shows the new thing in American television shows is to not show the full cast. This is a cost saving measure but is quite annoying since out of 30 minutes a week for 20 odd weeks a year we don't get to see all the characters.

Examples:

[scrubs] -missing either Judy Reyes (Carla) or Donald Faison (Turk) but last episode they had Zach Braff (JD) do a phone in ala Chrissy Snow circa 1981.

The New Adventures of Old Christine didn't even show new Christine.

Some shows are so subtle that it isn't until days later that the main character didn't even make an appearance.

Cost cutting for a show is fine but to what end. Will a show of 5 regulars be reduced to 2 alternating every week.

Adding one slightly related item students keep losing cell phones, thumb drives, and cables which I find and happily return. Before I do I have to take a peak inside to find the rightful owners. I just want to say thanks for nothing. With all the cool stories about government files or tons of private info lost via missing tech I'm very disappointed in what I see. I get drives with old copies of books I can't use or phones with picks of families and dogs.

Last semester one professor lost his thumb drive with all the exams and codes for the computers but I didn't find it, what did I find an Ipod cable that was returned within hours. Honestly I don't want to take anything but peaking into this generations most sacred keepsakes is very boring.

Todd Is Kinda Creepy

As The World Turns
Ralph Maschio better known as the Todd from Scrubs has started a 16 episode guest spot on this CBS soap opera. He is playing the brother-in-law of sexual assault victim Maddie Coleman. Is he a bad guy, is he a rapist, is he a good guy. Well we don't know but it's nice to see him after also seeing him last year in Veronica Mars.

Super Late Week In Review

First off tomorrow is Single Awareness Day also known as Valentine's Day for couples. If you get some good for you.

Now I've been doing a 9 to 5, 5-day a week class schedule so here are my late reviews.

Surface: Episode 15
The season finale, maybe series finale, picks up with Rich being detained at Iderex(secret creepy lab) where he sees an image of Jackson on a computer screen that says "Sector 1019 Chief", whoa Jackson was working with Iderex.
Meanwhile Miles and family are preaparing to leave while his girlfriend is sent ahead alone. The family makes it to the ferry but the girlfriend gets scooter robbed and knocked out close to Miles' home.
Rich manages not to get killed and uses a cell phone to make his goodbyes.
Miles realizes that his girl is in trouble and jumps ship to find her. At his home he finds his girl and they watch the devastion in Puerto Rico. On th TV they see giant creatures that look like floating debris in the water when suddenly one of them eats the reporter. They know the tsunami is about to hit and drive away.
Laura rescues Rich and the duo make there way to the streets and flag down a car driven by Miles.
Finally all the main characters meet.
Rich takes over driving and the him and Laura meet Nim, there is only time for a quick explanation because the car goes dead as the wave breaks shore. They all run to a church and go up to the steeple as the water rises and medium size sea monsters are looking for human-snacks.
Laura then comments "It's a new world." while looking over a flooded city.
Great show bring it back for a second season!

Scrubs: My Buddy's Booty/Cabbage
Getting a bit cartoonish but having Sarah Chalke and Mandy Moore making out was cool.

Sick show and cool moments making fun of other cartoons.

Grey's Anatomy: As We Know It
The conclusion from last week when EMT Hannah stuck her hand in a chest to stop the bleeding then panicked and ran away causes Dr. Grey too stupidly stick her hand for the same weak reason. Oh yeah at the same time there is bazooka shell in the man's chest.
Dr. Grey does pull it out and hand it to bomb squad guy(Kyle Chandler of Early Edition fame) when he suddenly blows up into blue mist.Another cool scene was when Dr. O'Malley dream of having all the ladies taking a shower together came true. Unfortunately it was not sexy instead they were washing the pieces of cop off of Dr. Grey.

Guess Who I Saw?

I was coming home yesterday from a day of doing the whole tourist thing. After dropping her off at her train I took a train I never take and one stop later guess who walks in.

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick.

Yeah that's right Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick walked on the train together.

Naysayer: Well where's the proof.
Man: Look I spent the day taking pics and had the camera in my pocket ready to go.
Naysayer: And you chickened out.
Man: No I like them both and thought it would be rude.
Naysayer: Sure, how did they look?
Man: Kevin was wearing a green bubble jacket, an orange wool cap and glasses. He looked very wrinkled and old. He looked thin and small.
Naysayer: And Kyra?
Man: She looked so much better in a wool coat no cap and she opened her coat and started adjusting her tight top and scarf.
Naysayer: Ooooh, did you see nip?
Man: Don't be a perv naysayer, she was very well dressed and nothing popped out.
Naysayer: How did they act?
Man: They weren't smiling and holding hands but they just seemed liking a typical NY couple taking the train. It was the same way I was all day hanging out with her. Close but trying to get through the windy wet day.
Naysayer: Who is this her you talked about?
Man: Shut up and move on.
Naysayer: So you said you started thos blog to get celeb pictures and at your first chance you chickened out.
Man: Well they only stayed for one stop and walked out. I decided that I would only take pics of celebs I like on their sets, you know when they film on the streets. No one was harassing them and they just seemed so comfortable taking the subway I don't want to the dick who ruined it.
Naysayer: Whatever now back to your shows and make it short.

Fear Factor: Pyscho Fear Factor 1
Couples and former couples do stunts at the Bates Motel. What I found interesting is that the majority of women were carryingthe guys. I never seen a group of such wimpy guys.

Scrubs: My Intern's Eye/My Right Of Passage
The first episode was much funnier then the second. Everyone's is back and doing well except for Dr. Reid who was let go of her new hospital.

Law & Order: SVU: Infected
Malcolm David Kelley of Lost plays a kid who saw his mom getting shot by a rapist and then he kills the guy. A very strong episode and the court room stuff was great with Judith Light as a defendant and judge. This show does get better every episode.

Naysayer: What about Arrested Development?

Man: I saw it and taped it but it was so layered and funny I need to watch it again to give it it's on post.

Naysayer: You heard Lindsay Lohan admitted being a bulimic and drug user during her asthma attack.
Man: Hey I don't talk about that here. No gossip please.

TV Guide: Jan. 2-8

SURFACE IS BACK TONIGHT, EPISODE 11 ON NBC 8P.M./ET.
Same with Arrested Development.

On the cover Without A Trace with stars Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio & Anthony LaPaglia. There is a four page article but since I don't watch the show I can care less.
